In the new Valjevo 3 plant, refrigerators of the Hisense, Gorenje, and Asko brands will be produced, mainly for export to demanding European markets.

Gorenje has been successfully operating in Valjevo for 16 years and provides more than 1,600 jobs to the residents of Valjevo and the Kolubara district. The launch of the new factory will mean the employment of an additional 1,000 workers in the next three years.

The factory is being built next to the existing Gorenje factory, where the company is building a modern production hall of 30,000 m2 with warehouses and a new restaurant for employees.

The planned production in the new factory will amount to 750.000 side-by-side refrigerators per year, and the total production in all three Gorenje plants in Valjevo will amount to 1.7 million appliances per year by 2025.

Since the opening of the first factory in Valjevo, Gorenje has produced more than 9 million refrigerators and freezers, and in 2021 alone exceeded 950,000 produced appliances. As much as 92% of all production was exported to European markets, which placed this factory on the list of the largest exporters from Serbia.

Since 2018, Gorenje has been part of the multinational corporation Hisense, one of the world's leading manufacturers of consumer electronics and household appliances, with more than 90,000 employees worldwide. As the European part of the Hisense Group, Hisense Europe includes production facilities in Serbia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic, development centers in Sweden, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovenia, and 27 sales companies across Europe.
