By signing the memorandum between SPIRIT Slovenia and the Serbian Development Agency, the two agencies are opening new opportunities for collaboration in the sectors of digitalization, environmental protection, electrification of the automotive industry, and the food industry
Belgrade, March 27, 2025 – Tanja Drobnič, Secretary of the Department for Internationalization at the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Promotion of Investments, Entrepreneurship, and Internationalization (SPIRIT), and Vladimir Tomić, Director of the Strategic Investments Department at the Serbian Development Agency (RAS), signed a memorandum of cooperation marking the beginning of a strategic business partnership between the two agencies.
The goal of signing the memorandum is to enhance the economic connectivity between Slovenia and Serbia, with a particular focus on key sectors such as digitalization, environmental protection, the electrification of the automotive industry, and the food sector. Through this collaboration, Slovenian and Serbian companies will receive support for the development of joint projects, which will contribute to strengthening business opportunities in the Western Balkans region.
The collaboration between the two agencies will also be presented at the Slovenian-Serbian Business Forum, which will be held in the second half of 2025 in Ljubljana. The forum will provide a platform for discussing strategic projects and opportunities for economic growth in the region, with a special focus on the impact of such initiatives on the development of the Western Balkans.
The memorandum is signed for a period of five years, confirming SPIRIT and RAS’s long-term commitment to building sustainable cooperation and achieving common goals.
