The MoU was exchanged by Nikola Janković, Director of the International Cooperation Department at RAS, and Arlindo das Chagas Rangel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AIPEX, in the presence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in investment promotion, export support, the exchange of information on business opportunities, the organization of business-to-business meetings, and the facilitation of partnerships between Serbian and Angolan companies.

The Memorandum opens new opportunities for expanding investment cooperation, boosting trade and exports, and fostering business connections in sectors of strategic importance to both economies. Particular emphasis will be placed on agriculture and the food industry, information and communication technologies (ICT), logistics, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.

In addition, the agreement provides a framework for closer institutional cooperation between RAS and AIPEX through the implementation of joint activities, business networking initiatives, and investment promotion events designed to create new opportunities for companies and investors in both markets.

The exchange of the Memorandum took place during the business forum“Serbia and Angola: From Successful Projects to New Partnerships – 50 Years of Friendship and Cooperation,” which brought together representatives of government institutions and the business communities of both countries. The forum reaffirmed the shared commitment of Serbia and Angola to further strengthening bilateral economic relations and developing concrete projects of mutual interest.

As one of the leading economies in Sub-Saharan Africa, Angola offers significant growth potential in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, infrastructure, logistics, energy, ICT, and pharmaceuticals. At the same time, Serbia’s favorable business environment, strong industrial base, and strategic location make it an attractive destination for investors seeking opportunities in Southeast Europe.
