City of Vranje

The City of Vranje is an administrative, economic, health, educational and cultural centre of Pcinja district, in south Serbia. It is located on Corridor 10, with the following distance from Belgrade (airport) 347km, Nis (airport) 120km, Thessaloniki (port) 300km, Skopje (airport) 95km, Sophia (airport) 215km. It covers area of 860 km2, and has population of 83,524 inhabitants.

 

                        

 

Vranje is a well known industrial town, with great tradition in wood processing, textile, shoes manufacturing, metal, machine,  tobacco and food industry. Also, there are excellent opportunities for investing in tourism too. Vranjska Banja, distanced from Vranje 11km, is the warmest spa in Europe (water temperature 94-110°C).

Besna Kobila mountain, located at 40km from Vranje and 30km from Vranjska Banja is another great tourist potential, with excellent opportunities for winter sports. The mountain as itself, due to a biodiversity represents unique natural ambiental entity. Vranje has, also, great potentials for use of energy of the Sun.
