Serbia and Minth Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Ahead of the 7th edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE 2024), members of the Serbian delegation, led by Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, visited the factory of the Chinese company Minth

 

During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Minth Holding

 

Shanghai, November 3, 2024 – Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević visited the Chinese company Minth, which has been operating in Serbia since 2018 at two locations – in Loznica and Šabac.

The company Minth is known for its innovations, and during the tour, the Serbian delegation was introduced to revolutionary products such as vehicle detection sensors and wireless charging batteries designed for electric vehicles.

After touring the company, Prime Minister Vučević met with the company's president, Chin Jong Hwa. During the visit, investment conference was held at the company’s headquarters, where Serbia's Minister of Economy, Adriana Mesarović, and Minth's General Director for Investment and Cooperation, Lee Kuo Fei, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement focuses on investment projects in development and logistics in Inđija and Belgrade.

The Memorandum outlines new investment projects, including the establishment of new facilities for the automotive industry, electric bicycle and vehicle production, photovoltaic components, construction materials, with the aim of creating a supply chain.

Over a ten-year investment period, Minth’s total investment will reach 870 million euros, with the goal of creating 2,220 new jobs. The investment projects will be implemented at two locations, in Inđija and Belgrade.

During his visit to Shanghai, Prime Minister Vučević and the Serbian delegation will also attend the opening of the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which starts on November 5. The delegation is expected to meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and other officials participating in the fair.
