Development Agency of Serbia (RAS), as government organization, is dedicated to building a strong, sustainable and modern economy in the Republic of Serbia, by promoting investment potentials, as well as giving support to export and fostering the competitiveness of the market. Our vision is Serbia to become a technologically updated, modern industrial and business hub of Europe and the rest of the world.
By giving wide range of services, such as diverse consultancies, benefits and incentives, support for several important SMEs projects, along with prioritizing investments in high technology and those which involve Research and Development processes, our idea is to create well-connected and sustainable system of great international and domestic companies established in Serbia, local suppliers which are able to become part of the worlds` suppliers chains and constantly growing export levels.
We are taking progressive steps for a few years now, and by doing that we hold 1st place as the top investment destination country in the world, measured by the estimated number of jobs relative to the size of the population.*
Also, we are leaders in Western Balkans and CEE region when it comes to the greenfield investment projects, where from 147 greenfield projects attracted in the WB region 105 are based in Serbia.
Reported by UNCTAD „World Investment Report 2019“, FDI inflow in 2018 in Serbia was an impressive amount of 3.5 billion euros, and in 2019 we attracted 3.8 billion euros of FDI, which is the record amount until today. However, 2020 seems promising from the perspective of FDI projects as in the first six months of 2020, we already have 19 investment contracts signed, and those tend to bring approximately 1.1 billion euros of an investment and create more than 4.000 new jobs.
Good infrastructure and logistics, competitive operating costs, high-quality labor and a notable number of technical universities, fast implementation of projects, custom free access to 1.3 billion costumers, and political as well as the economic stability, is something that sets Serbia apart from everyone else in this part of Europe.
That is why companies such as LingLong, ZF Friedrichshafen, Schneider Electric, Toyo Tires, Yazaki, MTU, Leoni, Adient, Minth, Johnson Electric, Siemens, Bosch are already here or have chosen Serbia to start production soon in the future.
Our vision is keeping up with the world when it comes to industry trends, technological development, research, and inventions; creating a successful economy and good life quality for all our citizens; bring world to Serbia, and Serbia to the world.
