At the international food and beverage exhibition FOODEX Japan, taking place from March 10 to 13 in Tokyo, 11 companies from Serbia are presenting their products and export capabilities
Serbian producers are showcasing a wide range of products, including frozen, dried and freeze-dried fruits, fruit and vegetable jams and juices, refreshing non-alcoholic beverages with fruit juice in doypack packaging, fruit-flavored Ice Pops desserts, bakery products, tortillas, soups, spices and food seasonings. At one of the largest international food and beverage fairs in Japan, Serbian companies are promoting their production programs with the aim of strengthening their presence in the Japanese and broader Asian markets.
Among the exhibitors at Serbia’s national stand are: AGROPARTNER (Lučani), AGRANELA (Valjevo), BUDIMKA (Požega), ITN GROUP (Belgrade), MASTER FOOD (Užice), MINELA (Batočina), PIP NOVI SAD (Novi Sad), SIROGOJNO COMPANY (Sirogojno), ZLATNI PLOD (Sinošević), YUMIS (Niš) and ZDRAVO ORGANICA (Selenča).
On the first day of the fair, the Serbian exhibitors were visited by Serbia’s Ambassador to Japan, Aleksandra Kovač, who discussed with company representatives the opportunities for placing Serbian products and the conditions for doing business on the Japanese market.
With a tradition spanning 51 years, FOODEX Japan is one of the largest and most important specialized food and beverage exhibitions in Asia. The event gathers producers, exporters, distributors, representatives of leading retail chains, importers and suppliers for the hospitality industry from around the world. The exhibition covers approximately 85,000 square meters and attracts more than 72,000 professional visitors each year.
This year’s edition features more than 3,000 exhibitors from around 80 countries across 20 sectors, including special exhibition zones dedicated to wines not yet introduced to the Japanese market, startups, logistics, digital innovations, and a segment focused on modern technologies in the food industry, including Food & AI solutions.
The participation of Serbian companies at the fair is traditionally organized by the Development Agency of Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, with the goal of promoting the domestic food industry and boosting exports to international markets.
In addition to Serbia, countries presenting national pavilions at the fair include Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Finland, Portugal, Australia, China, South Korea, Indonesia, India, Mongolia, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Canada, Chile and the United States.
