Two years after the start of accession negotiations, on December 2015, Republic of Serbia opened negotiation chapters with the European Union (EU) at the Intergovernmental Conference held in Brussels.
This confirmed the progress Serbia made as well as its European path, and once again gives the positive signal for the Serbian economy and the rule of law.
The meeting was attended by Serbian delegation led by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic, representatives of the European Commission - the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn EU Presidency, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and European Commissioner Johannes Hahn, as well as representatives of 28 member countries.
