An investment worth €30 million brings to Serbia a state-of-the-art factory where, for the first time, systems based on artificial intelligence and full process automation will be applied.
Stara Pazova, October 24, 2025 – Muehlbauer Group has inaugurated its second factory in Serbia – the Automation Innovation Center – marking the launch of the most advanced facility for the production of biometric documents of all types.
The €30 million investment introduces state-of-the-art technology to Serbia, combining artificial intelligence with full process automation, setting a new global standard in biometric identification.
Products from the new factory are intended for markets worldwide, positioning Serbia as a hub of innovation and technological excellence in the field of biometric documents.

Ivan Malić, General Manager of Muehlbauer Serbia, highlighted that the new factory is the result of years of partnership between Serbian and German teams:

Stefan Muehlbauer, General Director, emphasized the key role of Serbian teams:
