This is the first time Development Agency of Serbia and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia organized an exhibition for Serbian companies at the International Exhibition for Food and Beverage – Israfood in Tel Aviv, Israel. The trade show was held from 26th to 28th November 2019, and 10 Serbian companies took a part at the National stand of Serbia followed by 2 companies participating as visitors.
This year Serbian companies had over 300 business encounters with potential partners during the trade fair. Hopefully, around 1.2 million euros worth export arrangments were set on this occasion.
Companies that participated at the Serbian National stand are AGRANELA, AGROPARTNER, BMN MALINAS, COLD PRESSOK, EURO FRIGO, INTERFOOD 60, ITN GROUP, MASTER FRUITS, PIK BEČEJ, SANUM PER FRUCTUS. Besides them, Mlekara Šabac and GMP Jarmenovci took a part as visitors.
During the first day of the trade fair, H.E. Milan Stanojevic, ambassador of Serbia to Israel visited Serbian National stand using the opportunity to consult representatives of Serbian companies about the regulations, conditions, and opportunities for doing business in Israel, market needs in this country and certifications needed for export to Israel.
Furthermore, companies had a business visit to two retail chains – Shufersal and Rami Levy. Also, they had meetings with a Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.
Israfood is the main and the most important trade event for the food and beverage industry in Israel. This exhibition is the main platform for a professional and business encounter between manufacturers and importers, and representatives of the institutional, professional, retail chain sectors as well as the private sector.
Like every year's event, Israfood is held within the “Israeli Food & Hospitality Week”.
It takes place at Expo Tel Aviv (Israel Trade Fairs&Covention Center).
