Under the slogan „WE SPEAK ORGANIC“ 11 Serbian companies participated at World`s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food, held from 12th to 15th February 2020. On this occasion, companies had 550 business encounters, signed three preliminary agreements and arranged an impressive 2.5 million euros worth export.
A wide range of products, including fresh, dried, freeze-dried and frozen fruits, vegetables, cereal products, organic fruit jams, and low-energy raspberry spreads, has been presented by Serbian companies: Ecoagri Serbia, Drenovac, Zadrugar, All Natural Foods, Menex, Mater Food, ITN Group, Mirax Agrar, Bio Panon, Nisha and Organic Jović.
Even though organic products take only 1% of the global market it becomes more popular every year.
Serbian producers of organic food by now exported mostly frozen food, especially frozen raspberries, blackberries, and cherries. Serbia has exported organic products mostly in EU countries: Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and Belgium, but also in Canada and the US.
Development Agency of Serbia and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, with support of Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO), and in collaboration with Serbia Organica, organized exhibition for organic producers from Serbia.
