Knott Autoflex Yug in Becej has expanded its production and opened a new line for hot-dip galvanizing, a 7.5 million euros investment. The new plant will employ an additional 82 workers.
The 4.000 square meters new production line will have a capacity of producing 20.000 tonnes of various materials each year for auto-industry equipment, 14.000 of which intended for sale.
The company stressed that this particular production line is created following the highest environmental standards, using the latest technological advances in this type of surface protection of steel.
President of the Republic of Serbia attended the opening ceremony today along with director and co-owner of Knott Autoflex Hungary, Mr. H Szabo Sandor, Mr. Valentin Knott director Knott Group, H.E. Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Mr. Thomas Schieb, head of the Vojvodina provincial government Mr. Igor Mirovic, President of the Assembly of Vojvodina Mr. Istvan Pasztor, and the major of Bečej Mr. Dragan Tosic.
In Serbia, Knott Autoflex is present for 16 years now and produces axles and many important parts for trailers. Products made in the plant in Becej are exported to the EU, Israel, Russian Federation, Turkey, and the US.
Until now Knott Autoflex invested more than 25 million euros in Serbia and employs around 740 people in total.
