The German company Mühlbauer Group marked the construction of a new production facility in Stara Pazova, Serbia. The investment project, valued at 29.5 million euros, is expected to create 150 new jobs by the end of 2025

Stara Pazov, February 1, 2024 – With a groundbreaking ceremony, representatives of Mühlbauer Group officially announced the construction of a new, modern facility where the production of innovative machines for battery and fuel cell manufacturing, as well as complete production lines, will be established.

In addition to company representatives, founder and CEO of Mühlbauer Group Josef Mühlbauer the ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the President of the Government of Vojvodina Igor Mirović, the Minister of Internal Affairs Bratislav Gašić, the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović, the German Ambassador to Serbia, Anke Conrad, and representatives of the Development Agency of Serbia.

During his address to the attendees, Josef Milbauer emphasized that Muehlbauer Group has been focused on producing the most complex parts and systems since its inception, initially for the aviation industry and companies such as Lufthansa and NASA, and today for the semiconductor industry.

"The semiconductor industry represents the equipment of the future, which will emerge in two or three years. We are currently working on it, and we are developing it," highlighted the company's president. He added, "We are the first group in Europe to start the production of fuel cells and batteries for electric vehicles."

He expressed special thanks to the ministers from the government who assisted in the realization of the project and highlighted the significant support they received.

The German Ambassador, Anke Conrad, emphasized that today's groundbreaking is another confirmation that German companies have trust in Serbia.

President Vučić emphasized that the new project is a significant investment from the German technological giant, and Muehlbauer will develop new technology in Serbia that no one else in the world has. Vučić mentioned that Muehlbauer is a chip manufacturer, catering to notable companies worldwide, including Elon Musk's enterprises.
